Midvale Country Club is a private golf and country club located in the rolling hills of Penfield, New York, a few miles east of Rochester, New York. Midvale Country Club is the first course designed and built by the famous golf architect, Robert Trent Jones.
The golf course plays a total of 6266 from the middle tees. There's a variety of length including par 3's from 130 yards to 235 yards, par 4's from 317 yards to 420 yards, and par 5's from 444 yards to 544 yards. While the course appears short on paper, the players never consistently beat it. The modern course record is 64, set by Joe Diego of East Rochester. The course is certainly one of the better-maintained courses in the Rochester district. Greens and fairways are bent grass with rye grass in the rough. The greens are generally kept to a quick but comfortable 9' on the Stimpmeter.
Midvale has top-notch facilities that Guests can enjoy. Sports facilities include two tennis courts, a heated Olympic-size swimming pool, four paddle courts, locker rooms, snack bar, and patio. A variety of golf and tennis equipment and attire is available for sale at the pro shop.
