One of the biggest fundraisers for the Foundation each year is it's Annual Charitable Golf Tournament held at Midvale Country Club in Penfield, N.Y.
For the players and sponsors, the day includes a full day of golf played in scramble format, lunch served on the course, social hour and dinner served in the beautiful club house overlooking the picturesque course.
The event represents the biggest day of the year that supporters and friends of the Foundation are together in one place, reconnecting.

Nursing homes have a dilma that grows worse with every passing year in which State funding is reduced - operate within those constraints and cut programs that impact direct resident care the least. Unfortunately many times those cuts in program are at the cost of skills refreasher and upgrades to the work force. That's why the Foundation offers facilities reimbursement if they use opportunity to send staff to skills enhancement and upgrade programs.
Generally offered by an accredited organization, the staff attending the programs not only receive information that makes them more effective, but also a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction that their employer has invested in their professional growth.
The foundation believes that a caring and well
educated work force are a facility’s greatest asset. When the Foundation was first conceived, one of it’s objectives was to provide a means whereby current employees of skilled nursing facilities could turn for financial assistance in pursuing further education in one of a number of professional licensure areas. Over the last four years the Foundation has done just that with single year grants.
Looking forward, the foundation seeks to be able to expand it’s ability to assist employees. The new scholarship is envisioned to be one that will follow the employees throughout their continuous education, based on grade point eligibility, and paid directly to the educational institution.
